We go to Wood and Time so often they should probably start charging us by the month. And honestly, I’d still consider it a bargain.
The smoked chicken is absolutely phenomenal—like, "you’ll be thinking about it during meetings and church" kind of good. Juicy, flavorful, and smoked to perfection. It's our go-to, but the rest of the menu holds its own. The brisket is fall-apart tender, ribs are meaty and delicious, and the jalapeño sausage brings just the right kick without sending you into witness protection.
The sides are solid too—especially the cornbread and the peach cobbler. Fair warning: the cobbler might make you emotional.
Service is friendly, quick, and always welcoming—even if you’re back for the third time that week. Just know it’s self-serve drinks, so if your sweet tea runs dry, that’s on you.
Atmosphere gets 4 stars—not because anything’s wrong, it’s just not trying to be anything fancy. It’s clean, comfortable, and smells like smoke and meat dreams. That’s a win in my book.
Wood & Time is the kind of place you tell your friends about, then secretly hope they don’t go too often so there’s always a table open for you.
