SIX DECADES LATER - - - Wo Hop still satisfies! It is the epitome of a nostalgic American Chinese Restaurant. I started with Egg-Drop/WonTon Soup 🍲. Thick broth with threads of egg & strips of pork, with three savory wontons; it was creamy, hearty, and savory. Then I had Sweet & Sour Pork, and my taste buds melted in ecstacy, especially as I ate the bell pepper squares and the pickle slices. Honestly, while the pieces of pork were too large for single bites AND too tough to easily cut in twain, the batter was perfect & just the right amount. It was exactly as I recalled. I also got Chow Fun Beef to-go for the missus, and she gave it two thumbs up. I WILL go back, and this time, it will NOT be decades before I do.Thank you, Wo Hop, for your reply. Six decades ago was my FIRST visit. Across the years, I have returned many times, but NOW I am pleased that many of my reviews on Google Maps are read and followed, so I wrote this one.My biggest point is the consistency of the food ACROSS the decades is commendable. Keep on keepin' on ! ! !Vegetarian options: Read the menu and speak with your waiter.Parking: Theoretically, there is paid Street parking; lots-of-luck with that. I'm sure that there are parking garages/lots, but I don't know their locations.Kid-friendliness: There were many families, several with kids, and the kids seemed to be happy.Wheelchair accessibility: Non-existent! There is a flight of steep, narrow stairs going down into this basement restaurant. Currently, there is a dining shed on the curb, but that may be changing.
