This certainly doesn't feel like you are in Grand Rapids when you come in to eat at Wei Wei Palace.... you could be in the middle of NYC. It may not be posh, but it feels really authentic (as authentic as it can feel to someone who cannot actually verify the authenticity, that is...). We ordered some dim sum - my first experience eating this way, and it was delicious! Steamed pork buns, shrimp rolls, and steamed spare ribs with black bean sauce. Then we shared an entree, braised beef brisket. All of the food was phenomenal, and I'm already anxious to go back and eat some more. Could it be like other reviews stated, where the quality is hit or miss? Maybe. But this first visit was a major success for us, and I say that it is worth trying at least once. Plus, if you haven't had a reason to stop by this little plaza to check out the Vietnamese restaurants or Asian market, it's worth the added motivation to see what is here.
