The interior is small but well-designed, with warm lighting, tasteful décor, and a comforting atmosphere that makes you feel like you’re visiting a friend’s home. If you prefer dining al fresco, the heated patio offers a pleasant spot to enjoy your meal under Arizona’s starry skies while staying comfortably warm.
Before the main courses arrived, we were treated to a a few slices of herb-infused bread accompanied by whipped cream cheese and shredded carrots for topping. This simple yet flavorful starter set a promising tone for the evening. For drinks, I sampled their seasonal Harvest cocktail, which was refreshing and suitably autumnal, while my we also enjoyed a robust local porter beer that paired well with the hearty dishes to come.
Our first course was the Harvest Salad, a vibrant mix of seasonal fruit, pickled golden beets, and figs finished with a tangy vinaigrette, pomegranate glaze, and whipped lemon ricotta. Though the combination of flavors was light and delightful, the salad could have benefitted from more quintessential “harvest” ingredients—think roasted butternut squash, pumpkin seeds, and/or roasted Brussels sprouts (instead of strawberries and blueberries, perhaps apples would’ve been a better fruit to use)—for added texture and fall-inspired depth. Also, the strawberries came with their stems intact, an inconvenient detail that detracted from an otherwise lovely presentation. Fortunately, the next two dishes more than made up for these minor shortcomings.
The Sage Seared Scallops were cooked to perfection—sweet, tender, and served atop a creamy lemon basil risotto with a rich sage brown butter. Meanwhile, the Buffalo Ravioli, filled with ground buffalo, sundried tomatoes, and veggies, offered bold flavors, though I found the pasta shell slightly too thick for my preference.
Service at Torme Restaurant was another highlight. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and genuinely friendly. However, when the check arrived, there was an unexpected credit card fee, even though I paid in cash. Additionally, one dish was charged at a higher price than the menu indicated. I chose not to make a fuss and left a generous tip because the service truly shone, but this billing discrepancy was a disappointing endnote. Still, with its charming setting, attentive service, and standout dishes—particularly the scallops—Torme Restaurant is well worth a visit for a cozy and intimate dining experience in Prescott.
