I had the fried catfish 4 piece with green beans, corn fritters(about 12), and cole slaw(the plates come with two sides). Portions were enough for me and my 12 year old to enjoy together and get full, Fighting off the itis(food coma) as I write - the brother knows what he's doing. Price was reasonable, along the lines of Catfish Connection, Catfish King.
The catfish is actual catfish(not swai) from a Mississippi catfish farm. Cornmeal breading hits just right - you don't have to saw the fish, and it's not drowned in grease or salt. Ketchup, tartar, hot sauce given, but the taste "stands" on its own. Fish is clean, meaty, and boneless(you can get bone in steaks too) with a tender chew to it. The corn fritters melt in your mouth, and the green beans are on point as well. Not too salty, not too peppered. Other baskets like pork chops and links, frozen drinks and desserts also offered, but I didn't have the time to go in on those.
There are a few two seater tables to dine in at, but I wouldn't. Your view is Highway 161 and a gas station. You came here for the food. The sleep started hitting me halfway into the meal, here at my house. Pick up your food, take it home, fall asleep properly. Sweet dreams.
