After overcoming an online ordering hiccup (see below, we didn't get our food for 3 days; refunded), my family enjoyed the tasty empanadas/pasties and will undoubtably return again to grab these to-go. We explored the variety on their menu and ordered six different empanadas which came with two small dipping sauces (we prefer the Chipotle Dip, which the chicken empanada benefited from the most as it was the driest of the bunch). The different fillings each had a unique and great taste allowing everyone to have a favorite. My only suggestions are each empanada is a mystery from the outside and if you order a variety pack it would've been nice to have a label, like a little toothpick flag, to tell which was which without having to cut open.
While I assume most people will order from The Royal Pasty using a meal delivery service (e.g. Grubhub, Door Dash), since this is a ghost kitchen, you may order directly and, after being texted your order is ready, can go into the pickup area and snag your order from a locker.
Our 3-day ordering journey started after ordering, receiving a confirmation e-mail and text, then being "ghosted" for the rest of the day. Within two hours, I tried contacting them using the phone number on the receipt (not answered), the kitchen's phone number (only Spanish speaking when I called, and unfortunately I don't speak Spanish well enough to determine the status of our order), and finally by e-mail which was answered about 6 hours after I ordered and my family had moved on to another restaurant. Apparently, the kitchen's online ordering software went down that afternoon and, while still allowing purchases with confirmation e-mails/texts, the kitchen was not notified of the order so nothing was made for us. After receiving our e-mail complaint the restaurant was very apologetic and made things right by refunding our order and delivering the order to us a couple days later -- no charge.
