Next we went to a place called ZeroZero. We went in, looked at the bland pepperoni and margherita pizzas that were already cooked and cold through the glass and decided to pass. Plus they wouldn't let us use a bathroom and there was no place to sit. Having been to Sugo, also with no seating, we were having some PTSD. So we googled pizza places in the area and found a place called The Ria .1 miles away rated 4.9 with 213 reviews. Good idea we thought. We were so right. Detroit style pizzas with wild and crazy flavors. Very exciting stuff. We got the sampler which includes 4 personal size pizzas and very reasonably priced. The dough is sourdough based with a starter that has been in this guy's family for years and years. We ordered, Bacon is My Jam, with Basil habanero Bacon jam, pepperoni, ricotta, the Motherclucker, with Chicken, bacon, shaved Parmesan, ranch, the Carolina Kickin Chicken, Chicken pickles red onions, Carolina Gold BBQ sauce, and the Eat Your D#*$ Veggies which we added meatballs to but also, Mushrooms, olives, onions, red bell peppers. Every one of these pizzas was amazing. Particularly good were the Carolina Kickin Chicken and the Bacon Is My Jam. The chicken had pickles and pickled red onions and a sweet and somewhat spicy mustard based BBQ sauce and really packed a flavor punch like you've never had. The Bacon Is My Jam is the chef's favorite and mine as well. So much so, I was looking at the leftovers and thought, I need more of that so I ordered another personal size to take home for like $12. Highly recommend!
