Exception dining before the Opera at the MET. Dessert could be served during intermission if you'd like. They catered to my allergies and brought a special dessert for a birthday and recent celebration.
Dine inDinner$100+Atmosphere: 5Creme BrûléeAccommodating to shellfish allergiesI was on crutches and they provided elevator access to restaurant, limited time waiting in lines, and elevator access to seats at the MET.

My husband and I recently dined at The Grand Tier at the Met Opera. We ordered the Pavlova and Dacquoise desserts, and both were absolutely delicious—an unforgettable treat that truly made the night special. We absolutely love this restaurant and the Metropolitan Opera.

It’s a beautiful glamorous location within the Met Opera, service is stellar, prices are exorbitant and food is interesting, but don’t expect flavors to knock you out of your feet lol… it’s a treat for an opera night, that’s it.

What an extraordinary meal, before an extraordinary show, the Magic Flute. The bison, carpaccio, aesthetically, pleasing, and flavorly balanced. The beef tenderloin, I ordered black and blue, a.k.a. Pittsburgh, was perfect. I ordered the bananas fosters, lavender crème brûlée, and fruit and berries, all three...Read More

The Grand Tier is an exquisite restaurant experience during an evening of opera. Go for the pre-show dinner and have your dessert during intermission. Truly anything on the menu is cooked to perfection. It is as much an experience as it is a meal.

It’s very loud (yes because of all the people waiting in the grand tier). Service was like on par but not at the $200/pp level. The best part was the soufflé dessert!

So happy to report an excellent experience and the food was delicious. The caviar was fabulous. Highly recommended. I had an unfortunate experience here years ago but that may have been an anomaly since I’ve been a number of times again and it’s consistently satisfying....Read More
