Im writing this review because I'm a dog lover & it's taken me years to find a high quality 100% raw dog food thats actually affordable. It's grass feed beef with tripe, no antibiotics, & no additives. It costs around $150/m to feed a 100lb dog. That an incredible price for raw food!
I started feeding it to my lab a year ago, on the recommendation of my Veterinarian. Wow! His breathe is 100% better, he barely sheds, & his poop is firmer & smaller. He also has more energy, but I'm not sure that's a 'pro' with an already bouncy lab.
Anyone with 100lb dog knows raw diet isnt cheap! I've tried so many. Here's a partial list (cost for 100lb dog): STELLA & CHEWY, $800/m, OLLIE, $500/m, OPEN FARM, $600/m, STEWART RAW NATURALS, $450/m, THE FARMER'S DOG $600/m (cooked). None of them were worth even half that price. I saw no difference in my dog.
NOTE: Im sorry, but there's no perfect raw food, but when your dog has more energy, better breathe, a healthier coat, sheds less, & a firm healthy stool. That's awfully close...
It comes in frozen 2lb or 5lb rolls, can be shipped or picked it up monthly (recommend). TX TRIPE has a refrigerated truck that comes around monthly, with stops in OKC, Norman, & Edmond.
For those concerned about HPP, most human food like: Meat, Seafood (raw & frozen), Juices
Baby foods, Pre-made meals, etc all go thru HPP. It's needed to kill pathogens like Salmonella. Even if you prepare your dog’s raw food at home, chances are that meat has gone thru HPP. It doesn't chemically alter the food.
