We came in around 5:30pm on Sunday. You order as you enter, so it's good to pull up the menu on your phone so you can figure out what you want ahead of time. No one was behind us so we were able to take our time at the counter. The design of the space was nice. Plenty of outdoor seating, lots of tables and booths inside as well as bar seating and long tables for those that like to roll solo. The food didn't take long to arrive at all. Most of it was a hit. The ramen was fantastic! I got the Tajima Ramen, added corn, and subbed spinach noodles. The noodles didn't really change anything, besides throw a little extra color in the bowl. But, the broth was everything! My boyfriend got the Spicy Sesame Ramen and also loved his. The gyoza was decent. The shishito peppers, however; were so inundated with salt that I left more than half the bowl. My boyfriend loves salt but he still couldn't eat them. Luckily, that was the only snafu.Staff was extremely pleasant, and attentive. Drink menu was small, but varied. And, the restaurant was aesthetically pleasing. I'd definitely come back for a quick bite the next time we're in San Diego.
