As a truck driver who just finished an 8+ hour shift, I stopped by Taco Bell hoping to grab a quick meal. Unfortunately, they don’t allow walk-up orders at the drive-thru and refused to serve me because I wasn’t in a car — even though I clearly explained I was in a semi-truck and couldn’t fit through the drive-thru. The employee told me flat out, “bring a car or we can’t serve you.”
It’s disappointing that Taco Bell doesn’t accommodate truck drivers who are on the road all day, keeping this country moving. Not every location has space to park and walk in, and not all have lobbies open either. Denying someone food just because they’re on foot — especially when it’s not safe or possible to use the drive-thru — is just a lack of respect for truckers. Do better.😡😡😡
