WOW!!! The Switzer Farm is absolutely spectacular!!! Our stay here exceeded all of our expectations. From the deer feeding in the fields to the whales breaching off the coast, there is endless wildlife to be seen and appreciated at every turn. The home itself houses a beautiful energy that carries over from room to room and it is a testament to Gary and his family who clearly love and appreciate every inch of their home. When it comes to renovations, the attention to detail and home decor goes a long way in preserving the historic beauty of the property. Gary and his wife were truly wonderful hosts. They were readily available, open and willing to answer any questions at any time. It was a pleasure to share the experience with people who were just as excited about our stay as we were. We stayed here with 9 adults between the ages of 27 - 70 and we were more than comfortable. We spent hours playing guitar and singing on the porch, we loved preparing our meals in the spacious, well equipped kitchen, and we shared countless laughs and tears of joy around the gorgeous dining room table and or cozy living room. My fiancé (now husband) and I decided to exchange vows at the Switzer Farm after realizing how truly beautiful it was. Surrounded by our parents and siblings we held a quick ceremony just off the porch overlooking the ocean, the views from this location and the natural lighting was to die for. If you're looking to get married on the beach or want to take outstanding post ceremony photos, there is a beach within easy walking distance from the home. We catered in a small meal from a local caterer, who Gary was quick to recommend, and managed to find a wonderful woman from nearby Fort Bragg to officiate. What a gem of a place, especially for a wedding! I am truly grateful and in awe of people like Gary and his family who are willing to open their door and share their home with others, what a blessing. I have nothing but wonderful memories of the Switzer Farm that I will hold dear to my heart and carry with me for the rest of my life. I do hope I am lucky enough to return someday.
