It had been many years since I last ate lunch at this Springfield, Illinois, landmark restaurant. I ordered fish and fries to go plus a slice of coconut cream pie. Fantastic!

Environment is pretty plain. Great and friendly staff. Got the breakfast horse shoe... delicious. Tried it with cheese and gravy but definitely prefer the gravy. My eggs were perfect. And did the biscuit instead of toast... and those biscuits are yummy!

Two of us stopped in to eat. A super clean and super friendly spot to have breakfast or lunch! Breakfast was great and oj was good too. Great coffee. The best service and staff.

Hasn't changed much in several years that I have been a customer. Personnel are the same - the owner works as hard as the wonderful ladies she employs. The food is well prepared and they even serve grits.
