If you're looking for an affordable, psychedelic, mesmerizing, and playful night out... THIS is the place to be EVERY NIGHT OF THE WEEK!
They have an all-you-can-eat Tech Deck buffet complete with grass and water hazards to boot, with the most generous and forgiving pinball machines in Kansas City never more than an arm's length away.
Still not impressed? Need to go back to sitting on the couch? THEY HAVE THAT TOO—complete with a variety of gaming consoles sure to make your butt even flatter while your brain gets fatter on the finest THC drinks in the Ol' Westport district for those smart enough to put down the bottle but still need the thrill of sipping stuff through a straw, should your rambunctious heart desire. Sure, they have booze, but have you ever seen Thinky Flesh on an Agent Orange Cocktail, MAAAAAAN? Didn't think so. Shut up and try it, poser!!!
This place is the quintessential punk rock venue, reminiscent of the 2000s–2010s Kansas City punk rock scene before all the straight edge kids made great life decisions by having their children and divorcing shortly afterwards.
Oh, still not impressed? There's a Taco Bell right down on the corner and a dildo dealer across the street. Some say you can even buy antiques next door, but I heard there's a super long waiting list and a "we'll be right back" sign in the window that dates back to the Willenium era. Legend has it they're still competing with the rug shop to see who can take the world's longest lunch break.
Sk8Bar IS WHAT KANSAS CITY NEEDS. A safe space FOR ALL to enjoy a psychedelic eye candy atmosphere, hobby horse races, and occult rituals complete with pool noodle pentagrams to revive stuffed plushie bass. The fish, not the instrument. It might not have worked the first time, but this is what keeps me coming back. (We'll get 'em next time.)
