Located in a newer neighborhood near Hui Lau Shan and Safeway, the area is convenient and modern. Shabu shabu is my favorite style of hot pot since everyone gets their own pot, allowing you to customize your meal however you like. The setup is ideal, and the staff is incredibly friendly and happy to guide you if you’re new to the experience.
The AYCE menu offers two tiers of meat, and while I usually go for the premium option, the regular selection is also great. They have a variety of broths, though I wouldn’t recommend the original kombu—it’s a bit too bland for my liking. Alongside the meat, they have an extensive self-serve bar with fresh veggies, noodles, seafood, meatballs, and my favorite part: the sauce bar. The sauce bar has plenty of options for crafting your perfect dipping sauce, which really elevates the meal.
The beef and pork are of excellent quality, and after the initial serving of a variety of meats, you can reorder only your favorites, which arrive quickly. Refills on the broth are also available, so you’re never left wanting.
The price is reasonable for the quality and variety, and I always leave feeling full and satisfied. As a bonus, they offer complimentary ice cream after you pay, so be sure to stick around for a sweet finish. If you’re looking for a fun, customizable, and high-quality hot pot experience, Shaburina is a fantastic choice!
