I recently visited Sara's Halal Burgers and was extremely disappointed with both the food quality and the service. The experience was far from satisfactory, and it’s unfortunate that a place we wanted to support has deteriorated to this level.Service:From the moment we arrived, the cashier was rude and unprofessional. When placing our order, I specifically requested that the burgers be cut in half for easier sharing with my family. Not only was this request ignored, but when we asked about it later, the response was a dismissive "oh, we forgot." This level of service is unacceptable, and it set the tone for the rest of our meal.Food Quality:Burgers:I ordered the Mighty Fire Starter, Monster Burger, and a Chicken Sandwich. All three were poorly made. The buns were unevenly sliced, and it seemed like they were cut by hand rather than with a proper bread knife. The burgers were soggy and emitted a strange smell, which was concerning. The meat did not taste fresh, and the texture made it hard to enjoy.Fried Chicken:The fried chicken was the worst part of the meal. Each piece had visible blood, suggesting that the chicken wasn’t cooked properly or was marinated and brined incorrectly—if at all. This is not only unacceptable but also a potential health hazard. I can’t believe a restaurant would serve undercooked chicken like this.Fries:The large fries we ordered for the kids were stale, cold, and seemed to have been fried multiple times in dirty oil. The taste of old oil was overpowering, and the fries were a dark, unappetizing color. It felt like they were trying to save money by reusing the same oil without cleaning it or replacing it regularly.Drinks:The soda and Mexican Fanta were fine, but that’s the bare minimum you'd expect in any restaurant.Cleanliness and Hygiene Concerns:Given the state of the fries and the undercooked chicken, I seriously question the cleanliness and food preparation procedures at this establishment. The strange smell from the burgers and the appearance of the fries made me wonder if they are cutting corners to save on ingredients or proper kitchen maintenance. It’s worrying to think about what’s going on behind the scenes, especially regarding their use of oil. They really need an inspection to ensure they’re maintaining basic food safety standards. Conclusion:This was my second visit after a year, hoping things would improve, but sadly, they haven’t. With such poor service and questionable food quality, I won’t be returning again. I urge the owner to take immediate action to address these issues—both in the kitchen and with customer service—before they lose even more business in what is already a competitive market. We want to support our local halal businesses, but not when they’re operating like this.
