Read MoreOn a weeknight, this is our go-to for a good steak dinner because there is usually not a wait. Recently, we had such an extra wonderful experience.Started with the bread and then a queso appetizer, drinks, and then salad and finally, steak and potatoes. It was all good, flavorful and colorful and nice, but what made it great was the staff. They all seemed invested in helping people get the most out of their time at the restaurant and doing their best to anticipate needs or wants. We were really impressed! That said, I fell in love with the wedge salad. It brings back memories of cold iceberg lettuce at roadside diners, but this Saltgrass version is next level. The steaks are good, American fare without being pompous. Okay, maybe the amount of butter they slather on the meat is ridiculous, but it actually isn't pompous. It's perfect. Wish we had room for cheesecake dessert, but we almost never do. We're keeping Saltgrass on our list of favorites!
