First, is the food. I ordered a chicken and beef koobideh combo, which includes basmati rice, a splotch of saffron rice, a roasted tomato, and some dry pita bread. This was extremely bland and would've been forgettable if I didn't dislike this place so much. Saffron is a delicate spice, but it was hardly discernible from normal rice. The best part of the combo is the tomato.
I debated taking home the leftovers, as they weren't that enjoyable, but I went back to the counter to ask/look for take-out containers. The lady who had served us was busy chatting with a friend at a table, with her back to us, so it wasn't until he motioned that she noticed I needed help.
Yes, the portions are on the larger side and the prices are comparable to the aforementioned restaurants. However, I would much rather go elsewhere for Mediterranean food.
