We dined in as a party of two girls on a Wednesday afternoon; I had not been to this place since I was 13, roughly 6 years ago, so I was excited to dine here again. We saw the “see hostess” sign and stood at the very front of the bar where the counter ended, waiting for the hostess. The bartender was facing us, texting on her phone, and did not notice us. Another pair of people came in and waited for a moment as well before going to seat themselves, so we thought it must have been a seat yourself situation and did so at the bar. The customers that came in after us were all welcomed and given instructions on where to sit for service by the same bartender. That would not have bothered me, and I also do get distracted on my phone at work, if it wasn’t for the fact she was quite dismissive at the beginning of the service and barely spoke to us. She told other customers at the bar about the $5 appetizer special and drinks on special, but not us. The drinks didn’t matter to me, but it would have been nice to get a run down of the appetizer special, a smile, and a more friendly atmosphere. We were very polite and said our pleases and thank yous, and our server eventually started mirroring that. The appetizer of cheese curds we got was cold and chewy, the batter rather sweet. I did not eat my own food as the fries were cold and philly soggy, the epitome of forgotten in the window, or otherwise left sitting… coming from a food runner at a different bar and grill. I still paid for my food and didn’t mention it because at this point, I was embarrassed for bringing my friend here.Definitely a solid 2/10. The Pepsi was crisp tho
