I also told the lady who came out when I got my order that if the restaurant was not going to give me the coffee that I ordered and the receipt literally (again see below) I would contact the Consumer Protection Office and she said “Okay.”The facts here speak for themselves. “Goes with coffee $0” objectively gives that impression to customers. I am adding my original complaint to the Consumer Protection Office and the owner’s response to this review. They are both public records. In decades of helping customers -and out of the hundreds of reviews I have posted here- this is the wildest response from a manager or owner. I encourage you to read the original complaint and the owner’s response before considering visiting this restaurant.——————————On Sunday, May 12, 2024, at approximately 5:10 pm PDT, I placed an online order at Pizzeria La Gitana Of Olympia located at 501 Capitol Way S, Olympia WA 98501. Part of my order included the following. Please note that the next line was copied and pasted directly from my online receipt (see photo)Chocolate Cake $9.00Add 1x Goes with coffee +$0.00Add 1x Chocolate Syrup +$0.00cream and Splenda on the side - (3 creams 2 Splenda)When I got to the restaurant the waiter, who did not identify himself, told me that he “would have to charge for the coffee” even though it was listed as included with my dessert (the charge on the receipt says $0). I asked for the manager, who also did not identify herself.The manager told me that I would have to pay for the coffee. I explained that I had a receipt saying it was included with my dessert. She shrugged and said again that she would have to charge me- even after I told her about Washington State’s consumer protection law. I consider this to be a deceptive business practice and that they would be losing a loyal customer.Additionally, the pizza was cold and burnt. I don’t know what happened to this place between today and when I went in there a couple of weeks ago or so. Rude, deceptive, burnt, and cold pizza. They have gone way downhill in record speed. Sad.Parking: Street parking, mostly metered.
