Looking for a place, for lunch after Church
We were in the mood for Vietnamese
Not hard to find, and the place was not too crowded. They have this large screen TV in the dining room which you can't ignore unless you have your back to it.
To the food. We started with Avocado Spring Rolls. The spring rolls were good but the peanut sauce tasted more like Jiffy peanut butter. Way to sweet for my tastes, so a ding there. I love spring rolls, so if you order them, just skip the peanut sauce is my recommendation.
Shrimp fried rice was not so great. We sent it back.
They used too much oil, so the dish was weighed down, hence the dish has this overwhelming taste of cooking oil vs the shrimp, rice and veggies. The establishment took the dish back, and did not charge us.
The Dark Chicken Pho F12 was ok... At first the broth at first was wonderful but towards the end it was really salty... Seems the broth was made with premade packets vs traditional simmering of chicken to make the stock.
I would not recommend this place, while they did take the fried rice back and did not charge us, the rest of the experience, and food was simply not that good.
