I came in for my nephew's birthday. Honestly I wasn't expecting much; I've had plenty of parties at Charles Entertainment Cheese's establishment in my youth and I've never been impressed. However, I was left astonished by the quality of my meal.
On account of my mild autism, I find it difficult to enjoy meat that isn't well done and crispy so I tend to generally avoid eating wings and the sort. The night I was there was different—I was craving. I took the risk and asked for well done wings at the register. It was love at first bite. Or, crunch, rather. They were fried to perfection and I must have wolfed the entire basket in a minute flat. My heart goes out to the lovely and accommodating cashier, her name was Emma (or perhaps Ema? forgive me if I'm misspelling her name), and the kitchen staff for honoring my request.
The pizza was alright too, I suppose. I'm not the best person to ask as I'm rather persnickety about pepperonis, which is what we had. I can't fault anyone for that, pepperoni is among the most popular pizza to order. Normally, I would dock a star for this but the quality of the wings have surpassed my personal gripe with the platonic pepperoni pizza.
Now, this is where I truly must deduct points. I realize that normally this isn't so much my sort of scene. I have no children of my own as at home it's just me, my platonic life partner, and our indoor plants. I live a quiet life but I still love regulated contact with my nieces and nephews which are usually on holidays or birthdays. That being said, the lights from the arcade machines, the children playing, the televisions, and the smells all had me feeling a touch more overstimulated than I would have liked to have put up with. Thankfully, I'm good at "masking" as my partner tells me, so it certainly wasn't bad enough for me to have a conniption. I'm aware that this is simply my autism speaking but I owe it to myself and the integrity of my review to accurately account for my experience at Peter Piper Pizza.
In short, if I'm to attend future birthday parties for my young relatives, I hope I have the honor of attending at this particular location again where you can bet that I will be hungry for more wings. Thank you all for your service.
