PRO TIP: PLAN to stay here on your travels in I-10 to/from Texas!!!
A chance conversation with fellow RVers in The Panhandle netted us the most delightful experience in Junction, TX!
We are traveling from Quartzite, AZ to San Antonio, TX (February '25) along I-10.
When fellow travelers described Pecan Valley RV Park & Farm, it sounded too good to be true. (Spoiler: IT ISN'T!!!)
But, it was only another 50 miles from our planned stop, so we took a chance. So glad we did! Everything they described on the website -completely true!!!
The price was comparable to the other places we have visited, (military discounts available).
The RV park is nestled behind the pecan orchard. It has got to be gorgeous in the spring and fall! We were greeted by a Farm Host who escorted us to our site and checked us in.
We drive a truck with a crew cab and 8-foot bed towing a 44-foot 5th wheel. Y'all, I am not exaggerating when I say there was enough space to park TWO of us in our pull-thru site!
Neighbors were friendly, the river was gorgeous. Wild live galore (feeding them is actually encouraged!), there is a good view of sunrise AND sunset! And so PEACEFUL!!!
And a DARK SKY!!! I was tired, so I only got one photo, but next time......
I think you will want to get your supplies before you arrive, because (a) you won't want to leave, and (b) civilization is several miles away.
And, check this out: the Farm has wagons, grills, and even SMOKERS to check out!
Next trip, we will plan to stay much longer, but even the one evening was totally worth it.
Don't be discouraged that it is 2/4 miles from the interstate (depending on which way you are coming from). The drive is gorgeous!
