This place is a hidden gem, and I'm so glad I found it because it's about to become my go-to spot. I absolutely love Mediterranean food, and this is easily some of the best l've had in SoCal.
I ordered the chicken shawarma plate, and my boyfriend got the grilled shrimp plate. We both chose baba ghanouj as our side. The chicken was incredibly moist and full of flavor, and the rice was just as delicious. My boyfriend said his shrimp was perfectly seasoned. The homemade pita bread was warm, soft, and paired perfectly with the baba ghanouj. Portions are generous, so depending on your appetite, you could easily make two meals out of it.
We ordered to-go, and while waiting, we could see them preparing everything fresh. The family that owns and runs the restaurant was incredibly kind, and despite the care put into each dish, our food was ready in just about 20 minutes. On our way out, we decided to grab a slice of baklava, and holy cow, I'm so glad we did. It was hands down the best we've ever had. The pastry had a shortbread-like taste that was absolute perfection.
As I mentioned, this spot is about to become a staple for me, especially since it's so close to home. I can't recommend it enough!
