Read MoreEncinitas has always been my go-to place for resetting, regenerating, having good food and fun....Pannikin has been a major part of that experience, especially when sharing that with friends.BUT, recently Pannikin changed its gluten-free muffins and gluten-free sweet breads (I must eat gluten-free) for the worse! They have always been made with a tasty, good-textured dough, and with plenty of fresh, good-quality ingredients,...BUT NOW, these gluten-free offerings are HORRIBLE, ...with dough tasting like processed, out-of-the-package, commercial fare. Berry muffins, once filled with fresh whole berries, are now "filled" with a smattering of tiny pieces of fruit.I am so disappointed. It is not easy to find good gluten-free food.I have loved my time at Pannikin, and have spent plenty of time and money eating there, and even buying plenty of things from its lovely and creative gift shop.I hope this change in gluten-free products is not an indication of a general lessening of quality at this great neighborhood place.
