I had spent some time looking for a great barbecue joint in Angleton and came across this operation being run out of a gas station. I've had their BBQ twice now - they are legit. The marbled brisket is delicious, moist and tender and I love their sausage and boudin (a unique option I don't see too often outside of cajun restaurants). The sides are solid, I'm a fan of the cole slaw, obviously a staple to a plate like this. They use what looks like a large indoor smoker that ventilates to the outside, but whatever they're doing, it works. You'll pay an absurdly low price for generous portions (only $18 for the 3-meat, 2-side plate in the picture). In Texas, that's a pretty unbeatable value for good Q. And even though they're serving it up in a convenience store, the owners are always extremely polite and enthusiastic. I hope this place gets more attention. I also hope they come up with a dessert! I'll be back to try the ribs sometime 🫡
