Number 15 in Louisville

I loved my first time visit here yesterday! Saw the bottom floor that sells food, the main floor and the second floor ! So many places to sit, explore, eat and drink. I look forward to come seeing live music here and coming back for the Bloody Mary bar. Beautifully designed space with lots of room to walk around. Loved the 2nd floor patio. I am in town at Number 15 for my anniversary and it was a great ambience. Friendly employees and great drinks! Reed and Kristin were so friendly! Offered amazing drunk recommendations and accommodated my drinking preferences. Such an amazing space and I’ll return the next time I’m visiting! So check it, I was back in town for a couple of days and I decided to take my wife out for brunch on Sunday morning (I know, I should have gone to church but we slept in. God knows my heart.) Typically, we look for a place we haven't been for brunch, so I hit up the ole Yelp to find a new spot. I came across a place on Whiskey Row called Last Place, Number 15. On Yelp, there was only one review of this place, and it was for 3 stars. Not very promising at first glance, but after further research, that single opinion stated that the food was good, but they had a bad service experience. Not only that, the place had only been open for 2 months. Armed with this new info, we sought out to experience this place for ourselves, and I would render a second review for myself. Upon arrival, we were taken aback by the beautiful iron front historic facades on whiskey row. The restaurant fit in like a glove. The entry of the joint was equally impressive as they took simple elements to create a sophisticated yet minimalist atmosphere. In short, it was dope on the inside, too. Turns out that its a multifunctional building that has a bar with space for live music called the main stage from the Main street entrance, a balcony bar, an event space, and a suite, as well as a restaurant that is directly accessible from the Washington street entrance. This entrance also had outdoor seating. I would have loved to tour the building, but our goal was to sample the cuisine. We were told that they had a $25 all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet on the balcony bar level, but we wanted to explore the menu first. As we went down the steps to enter the restaurant on the lower level, we noticed it was completely empty. It almost seemed as if we startled the bartender. We started with drinks, a Vatthattan for me, and a rodeo lemonade for my wife (see menu for description). Both were delicious. For appetizers, we chose the cornbread and Bama Wings. The cornbread was dense yet flavorful. Very old school and definitely not jiffy. The tangy butter that was drizzled on it had a little kick to it but tasted very good. The Bama Wings were amazing. It was my first experience with Alabama bbq sauce, but I will say that I will have them again. The wings were brined in salt and pepper, then fried tender with an outer crisp. They were a definite hit! For our entrees, I chose the Hot Chicken and chips from the Sandos side of the menu, and my wife got the Kentucky Dip Burger and tots from the burger side. The hot chicken was tender and juicy with the right amount of spicy. I was informed that It was brined in the same solution as the wings. The sandwich had slaw that was saurkrut based and pickles that were sliced so thin that they only had one side. Both compliment the chicken, but their flavors were lost in each other. Maybe if they were sweet pickles, they may have stood out more. I was surprised that the chips were just a bag of Miss Vickies and not homemade. It was a little disappointing considering how thin the pickles were, they definitely could have sliced some Yukon golds and fried them up just the same. All and all, though, a great sandwich. The burger was a double cheeseburger served smashburger style. The simple ingredients on the burger allowed for the flavor of the beef to be the star of the show, and it did not disappoint. The tots were a vibe all by themselves. Crispy outside, yet tender on the inside and tossed in chili seasoning. Get the dip mayo. It compliments the tots greatly. We had a great dining experience in an amazing atmosphere. The staff was very friendly and answered any and all questions that I had even though i probably got on their nerves. I highly recommend it. I went here to register to try to win Louder Than Life tickets, which was happening straight after the time I got off work. While most of the staff were snooty with their eye rolls and sarcastic responses when you asked them a question about drinks or food because you've never been there, some were very pleasant and extremely helpful. Needless to say, I didn't know the dress attire for this venue and was in work clothes, as well as many others that had shown up. Not everyone can live middle class or have the time to go home and change. The food, for that price, was not really that good. The drinks, for that price, were so small. Not everyone drinks draft beer. I don't mind gratuity added to my bill, since when has it been raised to 20%? Also, the gratuity is split between everyone in the venue. Not everyone deserves it. Not even close! One last thing... shared restrooms, don't let your children go in alone. I had a wonderful time at Number 15! My college friends and I were looking for a new bar to get together and this place did not disappoint. The atmosphere, drinks, food, and live music felt like an upscale, classier version of any bar in Nashville. They use a cool wristband technology that allows you to scan when you want to order drinks and food. I found this to be so much easier than fumbling through my purse to get my credit card. When you’re ready to cash out, you simply just leave the bar and the wristband will know to close out your tab. No more worrying about if you left your credit card at the bar! Not that I’ve done that before…. Overall, ladies… if you are looking for a great place for a night out, I highly recommend this place. They have the coolest decor and lounge spots. And the vibes are immaculate. Lastly, I was so pleased with the customer service that I asked one of the owners to take a picture with me. He was a good sport and I told him that I will definitely be retuning! 5/5 stars!

My sister and I visited this bar back during Labor Day weekend and had the BEST time! This is modeled after bars in Nashville where you enter, you get a bracelet that’s connected to your credit/debit card and then everything is purchased using your bracelet. At the end of the night, you just WALK OUT THE DOOR! Everything you ordered will be closed out of your tab, they add a 20% gratuity to your total as well. This was nice so we didn’t have to worry about keeping a tab, waiting to close out, or tipping the bartenders separately. They have live music quite often, when we went we saw the Bourbon Thieves. I had a fantastic time at No. 15 while on a girls trip with my best friend. We were there for the Charles Estes concert. The food was delicious and prepared quickly. The majority of the 4 hours there was spent sitting at the bar. Our bartender, Jamie, had a great personality and her drinks were delicious. She definitely made our experience a lot more fun.
