Naked Taco used to be our go-to taco spot whenever we visited South Beach. We hadn't been back since 2019, so we were excited to return—but unfortunately, the experience just wasn't the same.
I ordered the Al Pastor Tacos, my husband got the Chorizo Tacos, and we ordered a Chicken Quesadilla for our little one. Right away, the quesadilla was a letdown—it was overloaded with cheese, making it too heavy, and the chicken was dry. My Al Pastor tacos were okay, but the pork was extremely dry. My husband's tacos had way too much egg, overpowering the other flavors and making them not very enjoyable.
One thing we always loved about Naked Taco was their hot sauce—we’d always take a bottle home with us. But this time, it just didn’t have that same wow factor, so we skipped it.
When the bill came, I noticed we were overcharged for the kids' quesadilla. Interestingly, before we even pointed it out, the server looked at the bill and immediately called out the mistake himself—which felt odd.
Overall, the food quality has gone downhill from what we remember. It wasn’t terrible, but it definitely wasn’t as great as it used to be. Not sure if we’ll be rushing back next time we’re in town.
