The wife and I tried this place for breakfast as I had heard good things about it. The initial walk to the door was not pleasing, as you were greeted by a mouse trap by the door. While I understand the necessity, it should not front and center to people walking in. Upon entering, we were greeted by the wait staff, and we sat ourselves at a table. The first thing we noticed was how dirty and dusty everything was. They had not been open very long, and already there was trash and bits of food littering the floor; and our table still had crusted food attached to it from a long since forgotten meal. As we took in the decor, it was very much a "homie" vibe, but everything was covered in dust, lots of it. To the point where there were spiderwebs attaching each trinket to another. We endured because we were told how good the food is. This, however, turned out to be mixed. I had one of their scrambler's and my wife the pancake. Mine was actually really good! The biscuits underneath all the eggs, meat, and gravy were so soft and fluffy! The eggs were seasoned, the meat cooked well, and the gravy was tasty. The portion was also very generous! Overall, mine was exceptional! Unfortunately, my wifes meal was just okay. While her pancake was big enough to make "Uncle Buck," proud the pancake had a taste of old bacon grease attached to it. That made it off, putting, to say the least. To end on a high note, I will say the young server we had was very attentive and friendly. I really want to recommend this place, but only after the restaurant has had a deep cleaning and the staff take better attention to continued cleanliness.
