McDonald's in Alexandria

Ti was super difficult to find where to sit at this location due to cleanliness concerns. Almost all tables were dirty and smeared with sauces and strange substances. Food was "ok" McDonalds food... Fiesta were cold and over salted, didn't expect otherwise. This place needs more staff to take care of it because there were only 3 people working behind the counter. Recently bought food good thing I didn’t eat anything. Uncooked food or some sort of gooey substance on the chicken nugget, opened sauce packet with what looks like someone’s nail. Will not be back. I had eaten at this McDonald’s before. But it had been decades ago. As I had to pick up some meds and visit the bank at the shopping center I decided why not? What could go wrong? I even had a coupon! How innocent I was... I figured I would order the Egg McMuffin meal and also use a coupon to get a second Egg McMuffin. So that is what I ordered. I made sure not to rush my words but also didn’t wish to waste their time. This is a busy place - open 24 hours - and they needed to be speedy. The staff was friendly, smiling, everything seemed to be going well till I put in my card. The price listed on the tiny display looked too...low. Yeah, she had me ordering a Egg McMuffin and getting a free one. But she had failed to understand I was ordering a breakfast MEAL with drink and hash browns. Somehow she had not heard the word MEAL. I didn’t bother to try to correct them and just picked up my order and picked a table. I didn’t want to cause a traffic jam and slow down everybody else’s meals. It took me a few seconds to realize the table were clean. The ones I was looking at had one of those surfaces with colored spots in the material and it made it look dirty. On the other hand many of the tables were not as clean as they could be. But it is a busy McDonald’s open 24 hours so what could one say? The Egg McMuffins looked sad without the hash browns to cheer them up. Or the diet cola to add some flavor to the food. After finishing the two sandwiches I went to the bathroom. The stall’s coat hook on the door was broken so I had to wedge my bag and coat onto the door handle. And once again the bathroom was not as clean as it could be. At least the toilet was clean and there was paper. When I left I was full but VERY thirsty and still wanted something else. The sandwiches had been so...bland. I had to drink a gallon of water when I finally got home after doing all my chores. Over all it wasn’t the end of the world and I didn’t get food poisoning. But with so many food choices in the shopping center I don’t have any reason to come to this McDoanld’s again. Addition - 2/7/2021 - As Uber Eats are offering a promo for Fee Delivery and 50% off, because Super Bowl Sunday, I decided to order a lot of food from this McDonalds. And they got most of it right. But the 40 Spicy Chicken Nuggets were only 33. Yes, I counted. You all count. But..the rest of the order, the Large Diet Pepsi, the Large French Fries, and the Bacon McDouble was good. Sometimes you need the sugar, salt, and calories. And it is likely a busy day for them. So I'm going to leave the ratings alone. Nothing added, nothing taken away. Update - 8/6/2021 - Got my breakfast order via Grubhub 100 percent correct. Added a star. Update - 7/21/2022 - Been working nearby so eat here about three to four times a week for the past five months. I would say they get 18 out of 20 of my orders right? Still kind of sad when you are right there and telling them what you want. Even answering their questions. And they still get it wrong. Update - 2/6/2023 - started work at 5 AM so was here at 4 AM. Staff in the kitchen area but no cashiers. The stations were closed. I guess they service delivery drivers and drive-thru not walk ins? So NOT really open 24 hours. Update - place is going downhill. Bathroom once had no toilet paper. Been locked in once because they wanted to mop the floor and locked the doors forgetting they had a customer. Also recently they messed up a dine-in breakfast order and refused to correct it. In other words they forget to add the harsh browns. Update - they finally got an order right but only because the manager was reading over the cashier's shoulder and corrected their mistakes. Almost got the wrong breakfast meal and they almost forgot the hash browns. Again. Update - tried to have breakfast at 4:51 am. Doors still locked. They really don't need your business. Update- hey! Average McDonald's nothing special, they definitely need some window shades to protect the people from the Sun that sit at those booths I wish they'd bring me ketchup dispensers back at the condiment center instead of these little plastic packages which I'm sure are not environmentally as friendly. They have items they sell you on the kiosk menu that they don't even sell, example I ordered and paid for a cherry pie but they don't even have them, ever.

I'm not one to complain about fast food ever.. But at nearly $20 for two fast food sandwiches, I kind of have to when they mess up: We went to pickup two double BigMacs, so we could finally say we tried them. The second window confirmed my order "two double BigMacs," and asked me to wait, I don't mind.. They had me wait in the drive thru line instead of parking. When they finally bring the food, I don't double check, because I want to get out of the way of the drive thru lane. I get home and find myself paying nearly $20 for two normal 2 patty BigMacs... Not the Doubles. And honestly they were pretty sad. More bread than anything, barely taste the meat. I can't believe I wasted the energy to review a McDonalds but I'm impressed they reconfirmed my order, put both into a double BigMac box and no one caught it... Was in the area morning rush hour so I stopped n got breakfast sandwich. Drive through was very long but moved surprisingly fast. Employee standing outside taking orders was friendly. Person at next 2 windows taking payment and giving you your food we’re friendly too. Food was freshly made -all I wanted 🤗 Service Take out Meal type Breakfast Price per person $1–10

The service is bad and some of the employees are very racist. The woman who works. I don’t know what her name is. She wears glasses. She treated me with clear racism. She called my order number and explained to her that this is my order. She did not give it to me and left me and remained standing for ten minutes, during which she did not pay attention to me until another employee came and spoke to him and gave it to me. My request is that the management of this branch should review this behavior among the employees because it has major psychological effects. Or is this McDolin’s policy?
