Firstly, this McDonald’s is NOTORIOUSLY SLOOOW. If you go this location and it’s busy, you can expect to wait in the drive-thru for at least 15-20mins. If it were somewhere like Crown Burgers or Apollo Burgers where everything is made to order, somewhat slow service is expected. But McDonald’s is NOT made to order so it’s super frustrating that this location is ALWAYS slow. Even on occasion when you’re lucky to pull up and there are no cars in the drive-thru, they’ll still make you pull up to the last window to wait for your order.
Secondly, they get your order wrong pretty frequently. There was a coupon where you can get any breakfast sandwich for $2, and I’ve received sausage/cheese McMuffin when I ordered a sausage/egg/cheese McMuffin, and a sausauge/cheese McMuffin is only $1.69!! I always let that slide until one day I saw that the sausage/cheese McMuffin is only $1.69, and I paid $2 freaking dollars with the coupon!! So you can imagine my aggravation when I realized that I’d been allowing myself to be OVERCHARGED and using a coupon by not going to back to have them give me the correct order, but I wasn’t going to get upset about it, I just decided I wouldn’t let them get away with giving me the wrong order anymore.
Lastly, tonight was the straw that broke the camel’s back, so to speak, hence why I’m writing this review. I ordered a #1 LARGE, no onions, Dr. Pepper no ice. As per usual, I was asked to park and wait for my order. They brought out my order and I didn’t check it until I got home and saw they had given me a MEDIUM FRY and it was then I realized my drink was medium as well. Given my aggravation over how I had been ripped off before when given a sausage/cheese McMuffin that’s only $1.69 regular price and paid $2 for the sausage/egg/cheese McMufdin, I was determined to go back to have them make it right with my receipt in hand showing I PAID for large. I told them thru the speaker what happened, they told me to pull up to the first window; the person on the speaker apparently didn’t tell the guy at the 1st window what was going on because he was like, “You had the McChicken?” So I had to explain to him what happened and showed him the receipt. He told me to pull up to the next window and they’d have my large drink/fry. I get to the next/2nd window and the kid asks me the same thing, “You had the McChicken?” SO I HAD TO EXPLAIN MYSELF A THIRD EFFING TIME AND SHOWED HIM THE FRIES AND DRINK WERE MEDIUM!! Then he says, “Go ahead and give me your fries and I’ll switch it out.” I replied, “Absolutely not!! I’m keeping them for the inconvenience!! That’s the least you could offer me since I had to drive back here.” He walks away and some other worker out of view says, “HELL NO!! No, no, no.” Then that worker comes into view and says, “Excuse me ma’am, you can’t keep the fries.” I asked, “Why not?!?! Y’ALL got the order WRONG and you’d have to throw them out anyway?!?! Letting me keep the fries is the least you can offer since I had to drive back here.” She says, “I know, but you can’t keep the fries.” I shoved the fries into her hand then she went and got a large fry, (probably put the fries from the medium into the large then added a few more on top because my fries were cold by the time I got home to eat) then I left. When I got home the fries were cold. I called the restaurant and spoke with a manager, Paul. He apologized and said “they’ve”, (I’m guessing corporate?) have been really strict on them for waste management, but he took my name and said he’d comp my next meal, just tell them I spoke to Paul. So thank you, Paul, for making it right, but your employees need to be more focused on customer satisfaction.
Chick-Fil-A would NEVERRR take back an order they got wrong. Chick-Fil-A would apologize, give the customer the right order, offer whatever treat the customer wants for free for the inconvenience, and comp the next meal as well!! So take a few notes from Chick-Fil-A: make sure your customer is happy and will come back again!! Poor form WVC McD’s. POOR FORM.
