Thank goodness, it slows at Mattie's because it must, as customers are waiting in line to enter Matties's Soul Food Kitchen. Patrons became creative in parking there, due to how popular this soul food restaurant has come to be. Luckily, additional parking was purchased across the street, and after rush hour it is not a challenge to cross at all. The food was good, period! That is all you need to know about that. The staff was friendly, and you can either dine-in, at the tables with chairs, or at the counter. Take out ordering is also available. The restaurant was clean and the wait staff friendly, and there is dedicated space for open mic events.
