Time moves slower at Mary's, so if you're in a hurry, this isn't your jam. The food will be made to order, cooked fresh, and served with all the fixins. The regular cheeseburger is big enough to feed four. The chicken fried steak (CFS) is huge. A small is actually regular sized. Do NOT order a large unless you know what you're getting into. There will be delicious leftovers no matter what. My preferred order is the Downtown Danny Brown. Two delicious cheesy enchiladas, a small fried steak, chips and salsa, boracho beans, toast, and a side salad. The prices may initially seem steep, but when you consider the service and the serving size, it's a steal. This place is a nostalgic gem. Pull up a chair, relax, enjoy some real food, strike up a conversation, and leave happy. If this isn't nice, I don't know what is.
