Just little, rock hard blocks of falafel (honestly they were probably frozen and not freshly made) that were burnt and incredibly dry thrown on top of a bowl of unseasoned rice, with one slice of a tomato and one slice of a green pepper. Terribly bland, some pieces so dry they were inedible. A tahini sauce or baba ghanoush or hummus (which was pictured with the plate on the menu but not provided) would have helped. I have even ordered one to go for my partner at home, before seeing what mine would come out looking like. His wasn’t burnt, but still dry and bland. No where near worth the EIGHTEEN DOLLARS A PLATE that they charged. The person I was with got the shrimp plate, and they said it was very mid, so maybe the meat options are better quality, certainly looked better at least. I would have loved mid over what I got.As for the service… We were seated right away. Great. They gave us a QR code menu and then didn’t come back to take our order for at least 20 minutes. It was wild, like I could not get their attention to come over. Ordered a pot of tea and hummus appetizer, and ordered our entrees at the same time cuz who knew when they’d come back. Thought the tea and hummus would come out first while we waited for dinners, but hummus came out maybe a few minutes before dinner, and tea didn’t come until after we were totally finished eating. Then it took a long while to get them to come back with the check as well. They made me write the tip on the hand written receipt before I gave them my card, which I found odd, but whatever.It was way too overpriced for the food and service we were given. I always want new local places to do well, but I will not be going back nor recommending the place to anyone.Vegetarian options: The vegan option, falafel, was terrible. Do not recommend
