Stepping into the hotel lobby feels like entering a world where Solvang's decorative flair meets contemporary comfort. The restaurant, tucked away under the stairs, exudes an undeniable charm that beckons guests to indulge in its offerings.
My recent visit to Mad & Vin was for dessert and a nightcap, and it exceeded all expectations. Our waitress, Alejandra, was a gem—attentive, patient, and incredibly kind. She guided us through the menu, helping us pair our chocolate molten cake with the perfect cocktail. Her frequent check-ins and engaging conversation added a personal touch to our experience.
The chocolate molten cake itself was a masterpiece, perfectly complemented by the velvety ice cream, rich port, and luscious berry compote. A slight mishap with the berry compote was swiftly and graciously handled by the host, whose name unfortunately escaped me in the moment.
Overall, Mad & Vin delivered on every front: delicious desserts, impeccable service, and a charming atmosphere. It's a place where every detail is thoughtfully curated, leaving guests like us thoroughly impressed and eager to return. A solid 10/10 in our book!
