Lucky Buns is a local DC favorite that I didn't get a chance to go to while in town. Luckily for me they have one in the airport. The burger was really excellent.It may be one of the best things i've ever eaten in an airport. The burger was cooked perfectly with great flavor. The fries were the perfect cut of thickness and the added cajun season and gave it a kick.

I ordered the "Kuta Bun," and it was an excellent burger, albeit overwhelmingly huge and messy. Probably the best I've had in D.C., let alone the airport. I could have done with some more thinner fries, though. It's pricey, but I was on a work trip, and I guess what airport food isn't nowadays? Would definitely consider coming back.

travel often and have been to Lucky Buns at DCA a few times now—and every single time, the customer service from Carmel has been incredible. She brings such a welcoming energy and truly makes you feel like you’re a guest in her home. It’s rare to find that kind of warmth in an airport setting!
The food is fantastic as well. I’m gluten-free, and they always accommodate me with a grilled chicken breast, a side of avocado, and this delicious sauce that ties it all together. I genuinely look forward to stopping here on my layovers.
If you’re flying through DCA, definitely stop by Lucky Buns and say hi to Carmel. She’s a gem! 10/10

The atmosphere was welcoming, all the ladies were nice, and the food was adequately priced… oh, I forgot. I had the BEST burger/fries combo of my life. I had a Belly Bun and Cajun fries. Please - if waiting at the airport, do yourself a favor and support this local business.

I ordered the chicky bun and it was such a yummy grilled chicken sandwich that I had to leave a review. Juicy and fresh. Onions added a sweet touch. Service was great at the bar, no complaints.

Rahima is the best. The food was good. Rahima dirty martini’s are on point. My flight was delayed and she took good care of me. Definitely recommend it. Hope I get another flight over here and she’s still here.

I’m consistently amazed by the quality of the food and speed of service at this airport location of Lucky Buns. Not the same quality as in the city, of course, but still a great product, nice ambiance, and at a reasonable price.

I had the pleasure of visiting Lucky Bun today, and I must say the service was truly exceptional. Given the recent plane crash, I can’t help but admire the professionalism and compassion displayed by the staff during such a difficult time. My server, Carmel (I hope I got the name right), was particularly warm and attentive. I could see that many passengers were visibly nervous and shaken, but the care and affection from the staff made a significant difference. It was a calming and reassuring experience that I’m grateful for.
This visit was a stark contrast to my experience a couple of weeks ago. During that previous stop, the service felt cold and inattentive, which left me disappointed. However, today’s experience more than made up for it, and I am happy I chose to visit again. Kudos to the team for stepping up and offering comfort to passengers when it’s needed most.
