Read MoreI am afraid I must contradict my wife's ugly/bad review of our experience yesterday. Everything was wonderful and the waiter was absolutely cordial. Her current issue is that she has bad esophageal issues and when they act up, not only are they agitating and painful but she gets in an, in my opinion, unreasonably bad mood and quietly lashes out at what I thought was just me. Her bad review was completely inappropriate except she cannot take any spice at all with her esophageal issues and she asked the excellent waiter if the shrimp dish was spicy and he said it was not. She found them to be just spicy enough and could not eat them.
Besides being at the brunt, or receiving end of her ill mood during this I guess we shall say, "illness," until it gets cleared up, I was the clear winner during and after this visit. The waiter was polite, appropriately friendly, and very professional, my Blue Moon and the specially cut orange slices at my request for it, were delicious. My Caesar salad was crispy and the dressing was exceedingly delicious, and my New York Strip was done perfectly as blue rare as I like it, then on top of it all, I do not like fried shrimp. Only cooked and cooled (cocktail), or grilled. I also do not like it when the tail shell is left on. But her shrimp dish was absolutely delicious. Not extremely spicy, but I noticed what she had an ill reaction to. Other than that, the coating on the obviously fresh and crispy shrimp was light, slightly crispy as well, and really tasty as a restaurant of this caliber should be expected to produce. And of course, no tail shells. I could only taste a few of them on the spot as the salad, beer, steak, and some of her delicious mashed potatoes placed me at my limit, but I re-heated the shrimp at home the next day in such a way that it reproduced the quality as closely to the way they were yesterday as much as possible. So my belly is quite pleased again today. My apologies for her unreasonably ill review from what she told me. We were a total party of eight. Six adults, and two children.
