I loved it here first time camping with my family and extended family as well who are first time campers, enjoyed it so much as we did. Yeah some bathrooms are dirty, some showers are far, but that is camp life. You have to at least deal with a little mess here and there. If you are looking for a local getaway for camping or anything this is the place to go. Be camp life ready, Make sure to bring bug repellent or anything that kills bugs or say, Red hill ants! Make sure to spray on the outside of your tent and around just to be safe. As for showers, if you want you and your kids to shower I honestly say around 6-7 is the best, I observed and noticed after 7:30 it starts to get busy, I mean busy, So be prepared. So my husband had reserved a spot that was next to the swim pond, and let me tell you that was the best choice to be honest. My kids had a blast at the swim pond. Bring floaters it’s double the fun on the slide. Bring life jackets either way, because kids do tend to not know how deep water can get get.
My family to the kids to the lake and they said it’s deep, but like they say “swim at your own risk!”
Personally, I prefer the swim pond for kids, because you can actually see where the deep end is. It’s kid of like a built home pool but bigger. You can also go fishing, next time I come I will try that out as well
Overall I give them 5 stars.
The area was peaceful, quite , and you can hear everyone at the camp site when it’s night time just having a blast. I will come here for many more to come. I hope I covered everything on my review.
Thanks lake Amador for having us. Big thumbs up 👍
