This is my second time coming to LDV and it just gets better and better. The first time was in 2019 and the food was great but I was a vegan/vegetarian at that time, so this time I was able to try new and different food. For starters, the aesthetic and atmosphere was so absolutely stunning. Personally, I enjoyed that they have a dress code and encouraged appropriate behavior. It helps set the tone. Second, the food was absolutely marvelous. For an appetizer, we got The salmon bites and they were SO good and that sauce that came with it sweet and spicy. We also got the steak bites/tips (medium rare) and it melted in our mouths. It was the most savory and tender steak I've ever had and it was paired with some white sauce (I think some type of blue cheese rue). I ordered the Lobster Ravioli which was rich and creamy. I added grilled shrimp too which was divine. My husband ordered the best dish of our party though. He got the cavatelli funghi which was PHENOMENAL. My mom, nana, and I kept stealing bites. The sauce itself was so good we even started dipping our bread in it. Even the bread before dinner was soft and flavorful, pulling apart perfectly. Not too flaky or dense or mushy. And the olive oil/balsamic dressing was a perfect pair. But if I'm being honest, our server Shauna is what made this experience the best. My husband and I just had gotten married privately and completely forgot to make a reservation anywhere. Shauna was so accomodating to the last minute reservation, even giving us a great table despite it being movement and memorial day weekend. We also weren't sure if we were going to make it on time because of traffic and she was able to adjust our time. She was so attentive and considerate to our special day and was patient with my Mom and Nana. Shauna checked on us at a perfect frequency giving us time to talk and eat while still offering her services before we even had to ask or wave her down. She obviously loves her job and is happy to be there, which in my experience has not been the case with other servers and restaurants. The manager was also so lovely and told me about their summer menu coming up in a few weeks so I will definitely be back!!! Thank you LDV!
