Stopped in for lunch at around 12:30 on a Sunday. A few tables were already dining but the place started filling up after 1 PM (on top of a good amount of people ordering takeout).I love fatty toro, so my fiancé decided to get the toro special to share. This came with two pieces of fatty toro sushi, and two pieces seared fatty toro sushi. Both were melt-in-your-mouth good. I preferred the seared one (I usually do) because of the slightly torched flavor, and because it's less oily. Not only do I love fatty toro, but I also enjoy regular tuna. So for my entree, I went with the Tuna Set (spicy tuna roll, 4 tuna sushi, & 4 sashimi). I was a bit iffy about the spicy tuna roll because I think spicy rolls all taste the same - like spicy mayo. You usually can't taste the fish. It was slightly better in this case. While I'm not sure if I'd be able to identify the roll as tuna in a line-up, I do appreciated the added scallion in the roll. It gave it that extra flavor. Everything else was good. The set comes with a miso soup and salad. The salad is better than most comparable sushi places. They use romaine instead of wet, soggy iceberg. Fiancé had the salmon set, which was also good (I stole a few pieces). After we were stuffed, they gave us a few more pieces of sushi on the house. I couldn't really tell what kind of fish it was because it was smothered in a combination of sweet sauces, which I did not care for. Still, a nice gesture.I never really come to this town but next time I do, I'll definitely be back for some fatty toro.
