If you like Americanized-Chinese, and I do, this place is great. They have plenty to choose from but if you're looking for more traditional options you might have more luck elsewhere. But when I'm in the mood, I'm coming here specifically because of what the food is. I've always had good luck. It has always been hot and fresh, it's consistently being added to with new pans from the back. I love it, my six year old always finds plenty to eat and lots of dessert options as well.
I'm giving the food 4 stars because no one in the world makes General Tso's as good as the Golden Bowl in North Vernon, Indiana used to. I've tried the General's chicken in probably 20 states and none of them have ever lived up to that little hole in the wall that no longer exists.
The service is good, payment is easy and the prices are 2023 fair.
By far my favorite part is the atmosphere. My kid loves the fish tank and the pond. I love the people watching. The clientele is exactly who you think it will be and I love it.
Overall this is my favorite Chinese buffet in the city. There are other strong contenders, others that might do a dish or two better but total package, this is my go to when me and the kid want Chinese.
