This was my first time here, and I've got real mixed emotions about it. I came to see Willie Nelson, and although Willie was great, this is a horrible concert venue unless you're able to get the first few rows in VIP. Otherwise, you'll be standing the whole time. If you do get in the VIP section... Prepare to become angry at the inconsiderate free spirited people that stand the whole time and block your view!
I would NEVER come back here for a concert.
Secondly... and this needs to be addressed BIG TIME!! When they were scanning tickets outside, the young lady doing the scanning asked my wife for her ID. My wife asked, "Why, do I not look old enough to be here?" The ticket scanner girl says it's a random check. So, my wife starts looking for her ID, and it's taking her a minute because she has a lot of stuff in her wallet. So then young girl says it's okay, "I believe you." At this point, I'm pissed, and so is my wife. My wife insisted on showing her ID since she was "randomly" asked to do so. Y'ALL, my wife is 50 years old and mixed race predominantly black! Everyone we were with (all white people) thought my wife was randomly checked because of her race. Was that the young girls intentions? I don't know, but I do know she's not probably trained to check IDs. If your job is to scan tickets and randomly check ID, then you check ID, no matter how long it takes.
On the bright side and apart from being a historical place, they have good pulled pork sandwiches, but We won't be going back for those either.
What a shame, I never thought I'd say that the worst concert experience I ever had was at J.T. Floore's. I really wanted to like this place, but I can't.
