A must-visit for sushi lovers. We waited nearly 30 minutes to be seated at Izakaya Mew, but every bite made it worth the wait.
The entrance is unassuming—you head down a set of stairs with no flashy signs—but inside is a buzzing, tightly packed space filled with energy. The atmosphere is minimal yet vibrant, clearly loved by locals and visitors alike.
We tried the Mew Special, Volcano Roll, Dynamite Roll, and Black Dragon Roll—each one thoughtfully prepared, balanced, and full of flavor. Nigiri pieces were also excellent, with perfectly seasoned rice and fresh cuts of fish.
Service isn’t super fast, but dishes come out with care and attention. It’s clear the kitchen prioritizes quality over speed, which we appreciated.
We had a great family dinner and will definitely come back—with a reservation next time.
