1. I'm somewhat of an a'fish'ionado <-- see what I did there? The tuna that Edible Island served in their Poke bowl was noticeably fresh and delicious. I've had bowls in the past where sometimes the poke is chewy, not the case with Edible Island - plus they had so many variations of bowls and toppings!
2. I got to eat the bowl outside with the ocean breeze, live music, children laughing and dancing, and new friends that I met on the boardwalk! I spent three hours hanging out alternating between chilling and eating on the boardwalk and taking periodic dips in the ocean - what better way to spend a sunny Saturday??
3. Mikey and Dylan were the best! Dylan's mustache is soo good too you have to check it out! But really, both of these guys were genuinely nice guys and even hung out on the boardwalk after they closed up.
If you're heading to Rockaway for a beach day, be sure to check out the scene at the 98th street concessions and be sure to try an Edible Island Poke Bowl!
