I will call this review the Iron Age Birthday party Fiasco.
I had been a fan of Iron Age for quite sometime because the food was really good. Well it is still good.
So I decided that I wanted to enjoy a nice evening with my family for my birthday, so we made a reservation a day before the event. The restaurant took our information, and made a reminder quite clearly about time and rules about reservations. So I organized my group of 16 people to be in the restaurant on time. When the time came the host told us that they gave away our table to another person with my same name without asking for information to verify anything.
They sat a walk-in group in the table we reserved, and when we arrived, they told us we had to wait because there were no tables available. The hostess did not know what to do, and the manager ran the entire restaurant to see where we could sit. After half an hour, he told us that the if we wanted we could take 2 separate tables or wait for the walk-ins to leave.
I chose to go for the 2 tables to make peace about that.
So we celebrated the party in two different tables, which were served differently for some reason. One table could do things the the other table could not, but hey we ate anyways.
I am not a fan of giving bad reviews, but after this fiasco. It will be a hard pass to go back to Iron Age, also after all the inconvenience of the night, nobody gave us a We are sorry for the inconvenience, charged for the service as anything happened, and said nothing about the bad service we received. So, Good Job on making a Birthday party something to remember. Have a great day.
