We had told them ahead of time that we were celebrating our Silver Anniversary, and there was a lovely surprise waiting for us in the room. The beds were comfortable, including the sofa bed for our teenage son. All the facilities were good, including the shower. Fantastic view from the room. And the breakfast was excellent, lots of choice, and managed very efficiently. Considering how many guests there are, we didn't once have to queue for more than 10 minutes.
VacationFamilyLocation: 5Our room was a Deluxe Family King - King-size bed for us and a sofa-bed for our son - both were very comfortable. Separate bathroom with walk-in shower. Huge TV! Air-conditioning, safe and mini-fridge which we used to put drinks in overnight ready for the next day.It's in Times Square! So easy to walk to theatres, dining, Rockefeller Center and much more. It's also easy to walk to several subway stations to access pretty much every line you might need to travel further. And being on the 32nd floor, we couldn't hear anything from the street outside, so slept very well.We never felt unsafe. Just ignore all the scam artists in Times Square trying to get you to take "free" things (which aren't free at all) or have selfies with them. There are lots of people trying to sell bus tours as well - just a polite 'no thank you' is all you need to do.It's not cheap in this area, but if you look around, you will find things like pizza slices for $1.50 each. There's also at least one deli a few blocks away that sells fruit and other snacks at a reasonable price. Lots of restaurants to choose from. We liked the Longacre Tavern opposite the hotel, and Mama Mia's a little further away, on 9th Ave and W44th St.Great view, Kid-friendly, Great value

A good hotel, with neat rooms. Not super big rooms, but with 2 adults and 2 children big enough. The breakfast is highly recommended, this was very good and everything was tasty and was quickly refilled when it was almost empty. The only disadvantage was that you sometimes had to queue before you could get a table which makes planning your day a little more complicated. But this was also arranged very tightly and smoothly by the friendly staff. We never really had to wait very long and the food was worth the wait. The elevator trip up and down, to breakfast, was a pleasure every day, by the great employee who guided everyone to the restaurant. He could wish almost everyone a good day in their own language. The children really liked him. The noise from outside was almost not noticeable in the rooms, so we could sleep well. The location of this hotel is perfect. You can go everywhere from here on foot, by metro, or by taxi. Almost all the well-known attractions can be done on foot. But also several metro stations are nearby. And Time Square can even be seen from the hotel, it is that close. We definitely want to go back to New York again, and Riu Plaza Manhattan Time Square will be our hotel again.

To be honest, I've hardly felt unsafe anywhere in New York, which is really great for such a big city.Most major attractions are within walking distance. That's the advantage of a hotel in the middle of New YorkThe breakfast at the hotel was very good! Always at the right temperature and more than enough for everyone. Everything was refilled on time and the tables were cleaned neatly. It was very busy every morning at breakfast, which meant that you had a line at breakfast, but this was coordinated very well, so that the wait was not really long. Once you had your table, you did not notice the crowds. And you could just have breakfast in peace, you did not get the idea that they were rushing you because it was busy, you just eat at your own pace. I thought it was great how they could let so many people have a good breakfast. My compliments for this. We also had a quick meal once, downstairs at the bar/restaurant, because we were in a bit of a hurry. That was no suk6, the pictures of the delicious hotdogs and hamburger in the elevator, were in reality a dry bun with a sausage without sauce. The hamburger was a bit better, but also not great. We went somewhere else for dinner later that evening. conclusion: Good breakfast, but the afternoon/evening bar/restaurant could be a bit better, so that the food at least looks like the pictures in the elevator.This hotel is definitely recommended, because of the perfect location. I would definitely book breakfast there too. Tip:If you are coming from Kennedy Airport, it is easily accessible by metro and certainly faster than by taxi.Quiet, Great value

They allow up to five people in a room, which is fantastic for larger families, especially with small kids. The rooms are spacious, very clean, and the staff is both friendly and helpful.

The room and location were excellent for the price, and overall we had a good stay. Still, there are a few things that could be improved. My partner and I explored the city late into the evenings and tried to sleep in most mornings, but the room doors were extremely loud when other guests came and went. I woke up with each one, so earplugs are definitely necessary. There’s also no room service for food, which was a little disappointing. On top of that, amenities were limited. There’s only a single water bottle refill station for all 48 floors, and it’s located in the basement gym, and there are no ice machines at all. That was surprising given how common they are in hotels and how useful they’d be after long days of walking around New York. Overall, the stay was good, but adding these small comforts would make a big difference in convenience.

The buffet breakfast, if you purchase it, was good and cheaper than eating out. The grab-n-go store had a good selection of items and a good less-expensive alternative for a quick bite versus eating out.

We were able to check in and leave our bags with Bell Service until our room was ready so we could get started. The staff could not have been more friendly and accommodating. So refreshing to see smiles and have someone act like your trip is important to them as well. The location was PERFECT!! In the heart of the theater district so walking or subway was easy. The room boasted a cool view of NYC and was super clean and comfortable. We hired a car to take us to the airport. Not only was it reasonably priced but was waiting for us when we were ready to leave. We will be back!!

Overall, I would recommend the hotel. It’s in a great location. The rooms were modern and the staff was very nice. However, the “resort” fee seemed like an overcharge. There’s no resort amenities here. There wasn’t a pool or a large gym. There is also no microwave in the entire hotel for guests to use and also no ice machines. The wait time for the breakfast was extremely long. The buffet was very crowded. Also, the wait times for the elevators were very long because of the volume of people getting on them. The staff was overall helpful in the lobby is nice. If you are looking for something close to Time Square and the metro station, I think that this would be a good location. But I do think it was a little bit overpriced because we couldn’t even warm up our food. Also, we tried to extend our stay for a day and they kept saying it was sold out, but there were rooms online.

We recently spent 4 nights at this hotel, for location you really cannot beat it, right in the heart of Times Square. Other reviewers have mentioned the long wait for breakfast, the hotel is very busy but the staff are very well organised and we never had to wait more than about 5 to 10 minutes for breakfast. We also didn't have any problems with waiting for a lift. The rooms are clean and modern. Would definitely recommend it.

The rooms were very clean with great beds and bathroom.
Getting to breakfast is a bit of a faff but I can see why they do it. The queues go down very quickly at the team are very good at their job.
The hotel can assist in arranging a taxi for you back to the airport when leaving and they were very helpful.
The only downside for me was that they ask for a $300 deposit. This may not be an issue for some but if all your money is on a travel card you don’t get the money back until about a week or two later. Just be prepared or take a credit card (I don’t have one)
Overall it is a great hotel and I will be recommending it to anyone I know going to New York
