An absolutely exceptional Easter brunch at Harvest Seasonal Grill! Had a reservation for 6 at 1:00 and were promptly seated in a large booth near the back of the restaurant. Much to our delight, Harvest did not pare down the menu to a few expensive choices to charge an "Easter tax" on its customers; rather they simply had a few special additional dishes available. Two people in our party ordered the Wild Mushroom Enchiladas, and they were fantastic. The serving size was large enough that they both brought home enough for lunch the following day. Another member of the party ordered the Banana Pie French toast, which was exactly as decadent as it sounds: thick-sliced brioche, topped with fresh banana custard, house-made vanilla wafers, powdered sugar and a side of maple syrup. If you have a sweet tooth, the dish is 100% for you. The two kids had an order of French Toast and mini-grass fed beef burgers respectively. I was impressed by the amount of care and quality put into the kids meals; they weren't just junk that kids like to eat, but rather were smaller versions of high quality dishes. Well done there, not enough places do this. Finally, saving the best for last, I had the Korean BBQ Chicken and Waffles (pictured). Consisting of a "savory yeasted waffle" and topped with Gochujang mayo, sweet & sour carrot, kimchi, leeks, lime, crispy fried onions and served with a side of gluten free ginger-soy syrup, it has been a long time since I have had a dish where all of the flavors paired together so wonderfully as this one. I would be hard pressed to order anything else on the menu if I returned for another brunch, but I'll have to do so fairly soon as Harvest Seasonal Grill changes their menu four times a year to make sure that the ingredients they are using from local farms are fresh and in season. I'll have to admit, when I showed up at a restaurant attached to a mall for Easter brunch, I didn't have the highest expectations, but I was proven to be very, VERY wrong. Excellent food, service and ambiance. An easy 5 stars.
