Read MoreAte at Harry’s this morning, my parents got the blueberry oatmeal pancakes and a mushroom omelette. Both of these items were well prepared and delicious. Additionally, we were able to call ahead for a table which saved us a 20/30 minute wait - this was great! Where we had some problems though, was the fact that the food took an hour to come out. Then when it came out, the burger I ordered (with egg, specifically) came with no egg. When this brought to the attention of the food runner, he appeared bothered and annoyed that I had brought this up (despite it being a $2.99 up charge). Then when it finally came out with the egg, the egg was still raw and runny all over the plate - French fries were cold. Lastly, I had ordered this burger as Medium-Rare ensuring that this was specific twice to the server. Unfortunately, due to an error of the kitchen, or something else the burger came out and was the consistency of a hockey puck.
I also ordered a Pepsi, which had no fizz and was all syrup. Sad to say, but probably won’t be returning
Also asked to speak to a manager, but was unable to speak with someone. Not really an experience that would be expected at such a pricey establishment. Instead go to another place in Solana Beach/Del Mar. Try Sunny Side Solana, menu is more creative and is half the price.
When they got it out for the third time, it was still overcooked (in fact charred this time) and was disgusting. So overcooked that the burger fell apart while eating it, decided to just give up. Hopefully the owners enjoy their profit! Don’t visit, is a tourist trap.
