If you're looking for a quality drink with a sophisticated yet cozy atmosphere, Grandpa Bar is the place for you. The cocktails are thoughtfully crafted and always impressive in flavor, presentation, and complexity. You won't find a better price point for this quality anywhere else downtown. The menu provides diversity without being overwhelming or trivial, and each name follows the bar's grandparent-y theme (my favorite name is the Mee Maw-garita). The espresso martinis are truly unmatched in Nashville. If alcohol isn't your thing, worry not! The menu also provides options for mocktails, THC drinks, coffees, delicious donuts as well as other nibbles. Mike--the genius behind Grandpa Bar--is always happy to offer suggestions and answer any questions. He has created a superb bar with a unique environment that is sure to impress.Parking: Street parking is on Herman street. The bar is built into Apex apartments. It's a big long building, but the bar is closer to 14th and Herman than it is to 16th and Herman. Look for an awning with an A-frame sidewalk sign underneath.Wheelchair accessibility: The sidewalk near the bar's entrance is ramped. Part of the bar is lower than your typical bar height. Movable square and round tables with different heights and kneehole/recess sizes are available. Floor space can be snug, but Mike, the owner, would be happy to make functional and comfortable space for any patron.
