Read MoreThe Golden Dawn on Youngstown’s North side is a true bucket list place to visit & eat. The Dawn is a staple of Youngstown restaurants, family owned and operated since the 1960’s. My Grandfather brought me here as a child & I have continued to dine here for 50 years. The walls are adorned with the local Youngstown high school & college memorial. Your seating options are at the bar/bar stool, table or booth. The staff here were the “uniform” of white button down shirt, black tie & apron. They are always wonderfully friendly & welcoming. They always check on you as you dine. Your coffee or beverage will always be topped off and anything you need, just ask, they will get it for you with a smile. They have a proper breakfast menu, classic comfort food for sure. The lunch menu is equally awesome. Looking for a good fish dinner on Friday?? Look no farther! The bar at the Dawn is fully stocked with classic beers & liquors. You can still get a scooner of beer here!! There are a few TV’s, so you can definitely enjoy the game there. I absolutely love the Golden Dawn, I promise that you will too.
